Project Description

Lake Otsego in Upstate New York forms the headwaters of the Susquehanna River that flows south from Cooperstown to the Chesapeake Bay.  The Mouth is featured in James Fenimore Cooper’s Leatherstocking Tales for its Council Rock and in the Revolutionary War for providing the water to float General Clinton’s army south to attack the British in 1779 near Elmira, New York.
